Traditional Tibetan healing methods
have been passed down through Buddhist lineages, and Tibetan doctors, and continue to benefit people today. Pure energy that is our subtle life force in Tibetan is known as “La”, part of the five element energies. La energetic practices originated in Tibetan Shamanic traditions, and evolved to become integrated into Tantric Buddhism. The movement of La is mapped and circulates through our bodies according to lunar cycles and gender. La massage is a gentle energetic therapy can help restore this critical energy which can be depleted by illness, trauma, stress, aggressive medical treatment, and other causes.
Tibetan medicine starts with a 5 chakra system: Head, Throat, Heart, Naval and Genital chakras. I do work with practices that correspond to these chakras and healing, but for general chakra work, I use the seven major chakra system.
La Energy Treatment
is most optimal at the full moon, short treatments can address areas that correspond to the Tibetan calendar, and a full treatment (30 locations on the body) will be beneficial at any time.
The treatment only involves light touch and there is nothing required of a client other than to find a comfortable place to lie prone.
4 main ways we lose la energy according to Tibetan Medicine
- la energy just naturally decreasing
- la energy can be stolen by people
- la energy is robbed by powerful negative energy fields
- la energy decreases when our body is too weak and unable to keep la inside
